Um grande fabricante de a\u00e7o desejava obter intervalos de substitui\u00e7\u00e3o mais longos para as solu\u00e7\u00f5es de rolamentos usados em seu laminador de conforma\u00e7\u00e3o de tubos. O cliente estava usando um arranjo de rolamentos que consiste em 2 produtos concorrentes diferentes: um cilindro de duas carreiras juntamente com um rolamento axial de agulha em cada lado do cilindro. A vida operacional m\u00e9dia para este arranjo de rolamento era de 4 meses antes de ocorrer a falha catastr\u00f3fica do rolamento de agulhas, com os componentes do rolamento sendo enrolados no tubo e criando sucata marginal. A Engenharia da NSK abordou a aplica\u00e7\u00e3o com um projeto de produto original \u2013 uma unidade de rolamento de rolos c\u00f4nicos de duas carreiras Sealed-Clean, capaz de acomodar cargas axiais e radiais significativamente mais altas. Essa recomenda\u00e7\u00e3o triplicou o intervalo de troca dos rolamentos.<\/p>\n
